Too Busy to Exercise?

Posted on January 18th, 2010.

I saw this little comic about being too busy to exercise and I just HAD to laugh! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! In fact, I wish I could carry it around with me, so whenever I talk to people and hear them say this “oh-so-common” phrase, about how they are too busy to exercise, “blah-blah-blah-blah-blah”, [...]

Feeling Awkward While You Exercise?

Posted on January 11th, 2010.

Last night, I already had something planned and organized for my blog post today, but when my friend called me at 8:30 this morning and asked if I’d go to a Zumba class with her, my plans for that blog post flew out the window.

If you don’t already know what Zumba is, it’s basically an [...]

Try or Triumph

Posted on January 7th, 2010.

Over the Christmas holiday, I watched the new movie, Julie & Julia. If you’ve never seen it before, it’s basically about a girl who decides to blog each and every day for an entire year about her adventures as she learns how to cook from the famous chef, Julia Child’s.

Julie, {the blogger}, ends up having [...]

Mrs. Utah United States 2009

Posted on April 27th, 2009.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… I get to work with the most amazing women ever! A few nights ago, one of my clients, Karmel Larson, was crowned as Mrs. Utah United States 2009!

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attend the pageant… but as I watched the video clip of the moment she [...]

Getting Back On Track

Posted on April 21st, 2009.

Last weekend was Spring Break for most of us here in Utah County… and with that comes fun activities, traveling out of town, projects around the house and of course, a schedule that is completely thrown off!

Like many others around here, we went out of town for the weekend to enjoy some warmth and sunshine! [...]

Strength Training Party

Posted on April 11th, 2009.

Normally, I try to get my workouts done in the wee hours of the morning, before my clients start coming to train around 6:00 am. Occasionally that doesn’t happen though, and I just have to do my best to squeeze in some exercise, wherever I can.

Well that was exactly the case last night. [...]

Living Healthy Long Term

Posted on January 23rd, 2009.

I can’t believe January is almost over, and that it’s been so long since I’ve updated my blog. No, I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth… I’ve just been completely consumed teaching my fitness camps at the Heart N’ Soul Dance studio here in Spanish Fork… and so far they have been a [...]

Ending Emotional Eating

Posted on November 3rd, 2008.

The other night, I met with a new client and we talked for quite a while about the importance of eating healthy foods, making wise choices, and being accountable for what we eat. Before she left, she asked “So, do you eat perfect ALL of the time?”

Oh man! How I wished that my answer could [...]

With Halloween almost here, that means the HOLIDAY season will soon be in full force. And you know what that means… schedules chock full of festive parties, family gatherings, special programs and social events involving FOOD! And lots of it!

How To Reach Your Fitness Goals

Posted on October 4th, 2008.

One of my adorable clients, (I swear… I get to work with the most amazing women ever!) wrote on her personal blog the other day, one of her fitness goals. When I read it, I was so happy – I felt a little like a proud mother!

The goal she made for herself (among the many), [...]
