A Little Exercise Goes a Long Way
I’m sure that most mothers would agree that this time of year is crazy and hectic! With the school year coming to an end, we have been going to year-end recitals, school programs, graduations, parties, etc. So basically, our typical daily schedule has been thrown off, and our time is very limited!
During periods like this, when life is extraordinarily busy, it’s very easy to push your exercise schedule to the bottom of the priority list. The problem with this however, is that once you take a break from exercising, it’s difficult to get going again.
So rather than putting exercise on the back burner, just do something quick and effective instead! People often feel like if they don’t have a full hour to dedicate to exercise, than it’s not worth trying… however, even just 10 minutes of exercise is better than nothing!
P.S. Now that your kids are home all day long, check out my latest guest post at www.DietsInReview.com that gives some quick and easy ideas for being active WITH your kids.

Hi Liz,
This post is so true. Ever since my routine was broken because of surgery, I have been lazy to bring myself back to the routine. All the rest/recovery gave me a bad habit. Great post.

Hey Liz, you are spot on the money. Every little bit of exercise counts. It’s also better for you to complete one 10 minute session every day rather than working out for 1 hour once a week. I posted about a great 10 Minute Workout a while back.

There is so much truth in this Liz! For me, the hiatus came over the winter – and I kept saying I’d get back to it “next week”. And next week never came… until recently. And it was hard to get myself back to working out after a long break. Now – I’m really going to try and follow your advice here – even if it’s something quick – to do at least some exercise. And keep from letting it slip off my radar!
