I can testify to the great benefits of walking. It's a "must do" in my daily life. I've heard from time to time that walking a mile burns just a many calories as running a mile Is that true?

I agree. It's so easy to stuff your mouth when stressed. I've made a conscious choice to exercise at least six times a week on my treadmill. It definitely helps me to deal with the stress, most of which I have no control over.

The funny thing is, most of the time I write these posts because they are things I need to hear myself... so the fact that they motivate someone else is like icing on the cake for me! Thanks for your comments!

Well said! It is definetly harder to stay motivated when your stress level goes up. I went on a nice walk/jog/stroll this morning and it felt so good to get out and enjoy some fresh air and let the worries of this world take back seat for a while!
