Confidence Is Everything

Posted on September 24th, 2008.

I’m pretty sure that most of us have at least one part of our body that we don’t love. However, I have learned over the years that we can’t wait for our body shape to change before we improve the image of ourselves. So maybe you have a little pooch on your tummy that you can’t get rid of… or you have jiggly thighs that drive you crazy… whatever your little “thing” is that bugs you, try not to let it get in the way of your confidence.

Focus on your good parts instead! Maybe you have a gorgeous smile… well then, grin all day long! Maybe your eyes are big and beautiful… if so, make eye contact with more people and take their breath away! Maybe you are quick witted and know how to make people laugh… then be yourself and let your true beauty shine!

Confidence is not derived from how we look in a pair of jeans. Sure, it helps if you are at a healthy weight and you know you work hard at being in good shape… but TRUE confidence comes from within. It’s how you portray yourself to others. Remember – most people are more worried about how they look to others than how you look. Being teeny tiny is not the be-all, end all. What matters most is that you are comfortable with yourself.

Keep yourself motivated by focusing on your fabulous parts! We all have them… even if you don’t think you do! Being happy, upbeat and confident – in an UN-conceited way – is the best method to looking your greatest… not only to yourself but to those around you!

Hope your week is a healthy one!

Thank you Liz! I needed to hear that just like everything else you say! I DO focus too much on what I don’t like about myself and because of that I don’t have the confidence that I should have. I NEED to work on just being happy with who I am and then step by step try to live a healthy life for me and my family! You are Heaven sent!

very true.

my confidence stems from the fact (waitforit Imgonnasayit) I KNOW IM SILLYFUNNY.

I can get people laughing in a good way and hopefully brighten their day.

I think we need to KNOW what we love about ourselves and not be afraid to say it.
